Vladimir Putin is trying to use his claimed “record” victory in the so-called presidential elections to establish information conditions for the purpose of a protracted war in Ukraine.

The Central Election Commission of the aggressor country stated that the Russian dictator allegedly scored a record 88.12% to 95.23% in the temporarily occupied Lugansk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions and Crimea. This is stated in a report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
Russian occupation officials likely faked record-high support for Putin in the occupied territories of Ukraine and forced Ukrainians to participate in “elections” that were essentially forced given the large number of Russian forces in the occupied part of Ukraine, experts noted.
ISW emphasized that at a press conference following the “voting” results, Putin said that he did not expect such high election results in the Ukrainian TOT. The head of the terrorist regime emphasized that such results seem to indicate “gratitude for Russian protection.” The occupier added that his regime will do everything to “protect” these territories.
Military experts believe that the ways thus justify a protracted war and long-term occupation of Ukraine under the guise of “protecting” civilians in occupied Ukraine.
Let us recall that on March 18, Russian war criminal Vladimir Putin won the presidential “elections” in Russia. The Central Election Commission of the aggressor country gave the dictator a record 87.28% of the votes. Europe criticized the holding of this fake event, especially in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
