It seems that Alexei Navalny’s supporters are promising attacks on polling stations by the end of this week.
Today a video appeared on the Internet in which three people with hidden faces introduced themselves “Navalny’s combat troops” and promised “gifts” to Vladimir Putin’s regime in this weekend’s elections. Users on social networks are divided on whether they are really supporters of the dead Russian oppositionist or a special operation of the FSB.
“Explosive” election
The anonymous people in the video stated that they consider all election commissions as a legitimate goal of their activities during the March 15-17 presidential election. The video was probably shot in some abandoned facility. In addition, Navalny’s supporters seem to show homemade explosives on camera and emphasize that elections after the killing of an opposition are “not elections.”
“Now you have seen the results of our work, but we still have many gifts for Russian traitors… All Russian electoral commissions are a legitimate target for our activities,” said one of the boys.
In their message, the representatives of the detachments also recalled today’s events in the Bryansk region. There, Russian security forces took measures to “prevent terrorist acts in Bryansk.”
In addition, the mayor of the city signed a decree on regulating car traffic during the election, according to which the movement of personal vehicles on the streets is limited from March 15 to 17.
“We don’t want to spoil it, but in this way the authorities are trying to fight our activities. We will not tire of repeating: the election commissions of different cities of the country are our legitimate targets. Our agents are everywhere, they are motivated and ready to take revenge for Navalny’s murder,” oppositionist supporters apparently said.
Promotion of Navalny’s team
Meanwhile, social networks are already suggesting that the published video was made by Russian special services. It seems that the purpose of such an FSB operation was to disrupt the action of Navalny’s group “Then against Putin.”
The essence of this rally is to go to the polling stations on the last day of the election, March 17, at 12:00 and show a protest against the Kremlin regime. This call for action was Navalny’s last political utterance. So, users do not rule out that Moscow is exaggerating the situation so that activists are afraid to go to the polling stations.
Such assumptions have already been answered in “Combat units of Navalny”.
“We are seeing hysteria with” Noon against Putin “… So, we want to ask one question:… Whose side are you on? Putin. He needs a turnout. He’s just afraid of a small turnout… Does he really think who will sit and count the votes? Look at your protest inscriptions on the ballots?… We call on all thinking Russians, all true supporters of Navalny to the maximum against those election. Don’t vote, but fight!” said the message.
FSB provocation or real revenge?
The Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the reserve and military expert Roman Svitan did not rule out that this is actually a performance of the FSB, which aims to blame terrorist attacks in Russia on opposition activists.
As an example, he mentioned the so-called “Ryazan sugar” – a concept that appeared after the explosions of residential buildings in the Russian Federation in 1999, carried out by the Russian special services. Moreover, according to Svitan, today in various republics of the Russian Federation there are rebellious or protest sentiments that the Kremlin will try to suppress.
“The FSB will develop various mechanisms under its guise “Ryazan sugar” with heavy losses within Russia. Blame these movements for unleashing terrorist attacks, which those armies that carry out tasks that will lead to the sovereignty of their republics would never do,” said the expert in a commentary for Channel 24.
In this regard, the political scientist Vadim Denisenko said that the presidential rating of Alexei Navalny before his death was about five percent, but the people of the Russian Federation who trusted him were about 15%. This is a large mass of supporters, because, according to the Russian Central Election Commission, there are 123 million voters in the Russian Federation, the expert added.
Denisenko does not rule out that in these years a radical group may appear that will say “we want to raise Navalny’s flag, not someone else’s; we believe that Navalny bequeathed us to start a terrorist story. “
“You know, any radical structure (I won’t reveal any secrets here) always recognizes a more radical part within itself, or even a more radical part breaks away from it, becoming more orthodox than to the Pope… it cannot be ruled out,” – said the political scientist in an interview with Radio NV.
It should be noted that last week a number of countries, in particular Canada, South Korea, Latvia, Sweden, Germany, the Czech Republic and the Netherlands, warned their citizens about the risk of terrorist attacks on the territory of Russia.
In particular, embassies, consulates and foreign ministries of countries are asked to be careful, and it is best not to visit or leave the territory of the Russian Federation.
The US Embassy in Moscow first reported the threat of a terrorist attack on March 8. Diplomats advised their citizens to avoid crowds in Moscow for the next 48 hours, to monitor reports of local media and their environment.
