On the morning of March 5, a video of a possible attack on a Russian ship was published online.
According to Ukrainian media interlocutors, the ship received significant damage. The fate of the crew is still unknown.
Traffic on the Kerch Bridge has been blocked since the evening of March 4, Russian telegram channels reported an attack by missiles and drones in Crimea. The Russian authorities did not comment on this.
The head of the OP Andrey Ermak also confirmed the defeat of “Sergei Kotov”.
The Russian Black Sea Fleet is a sign of occupation. “He cannot be in Ukrainian Crimea,” Ermak wrote in a Telegram on the morning of March 5.
This is not the first time the Russians have attempted to hit this ship.
On the night of July 25, a preliminary attack took place. Then the Russians managed to fend off two high-speed unmanned boats. The ship patrolled the Black Sea 370 km southwest of Sevastopol.
It is noted that both remote-controlled boats were allegedly destroyed by fire from the standard weapons of the Russian ship. In this case, the objects were hit from a distance of 1000 and 800 meters.
“Sergey Kotov” is a modular patrol ship of Project 22160. It is one of the newest ships in the Russian Navy. It was launched in 2021 and became the fourth ship in the series, joining the ranks of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
The total displacement is 1800 tons, the crew consists of 28 people, the navigation autonomy is within 60 days.
The ship is armed with a universal 76.2-mm artillery mount AK-176MA with a rate of fire of up to 120 rounds per minute and two 14.5-mm KPV machine guns in naval pedestal machine gun mounts (MTKU).
Thanks to the modular design of the ship, it is possible to install containerized weapons, in particular the Caliber or X-35 cruise missiles.
“Sergey Kotov” is equipped with the latest Pozitiv-MK radar complex, operating in active and passive mode. In passive mode, according to Russian sources, the complex is “guaranteed” to detect radiation from operating transmitters of enemy surface ships at a distance of up to 300 kilometers. As for the active mode, the data is not disclosed.
