According to him, Ukraine successfully completed the test of flamingos missiles, which allowed to start their serial production.
Meanwhile, Defense Express suggested that Flamingo is a FP-5 missile from the Milanion group with the UAE headquarters. The company provides the armed forces of Ukraine and first demonstrates its development in February 2025 at the IDEX-201e-2025 exhibition in the UAE.
“Given the revealed properties of flamingo and FP -5, as well as the appearance of both missiles, including the fact that we are talking about a large cruise missile with a fixed straight wing and placing a machine above the fuselage, no alternatives to see,” said the publication.
It is noted that the FP -5 can fly 3 thousand km, spend 4 hours in the air, developing speeds up to 950 km per hour, has a 6 m wing. Its weight is up to 6 tons, while 1 ton the warhead.
The Defense Express writes that there are few such missiles in the world and that they are stronger than Tomahawk missiles, with a part of the fight of 450 kg. At the same time, the Milanion Group emphasized that it could produce 50 FP-5 missiles per month.
In addition, the company has declared that navigating satellite has been used in the rocket, which is resistant to electronic warfare, as well as an inertial system.
