The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Alexander Syrsky, is trusted by 40% of Ukrainians, but 35% had not heard of him until February.

According to the results of a survey by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS), 21% of respondents said that they did not trust Syrsky, another 4% found it difficult to answer.
As for the former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, he has the highest level of trust in society. 94% of Ukrainians trust him, only 5% do not trust him. At the same time, trust in the ex-commander-in-chief increased by 2% in February when compared with the December 2023 survey.
Trust in Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in February 2024 is 64%, in December this figure was 77%.
A high level of trust remains with the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate Kirill Budanov (66%) and volunteer Sergei Pritula (61%).
After Zaluzhny’s resignation, sociologists recorded a decrease in trust in government. In particular, trust in the president decreased by 13% (December – 77%, February – 64%). Over the same period, distrust of the president also increased by 13% (December – 22%, February – 35%).
In February 2024, trust in Petro Poroshenko increased by 4% (December – 27%, February – 31%). Poroshenko is trusted more than people voted for him in the second round of the 2019 elections.
The survey was conducted February 5-10, 2024. The Kiev International Institute of Sociology used the method of telephone interviews using a computer. 1 thousand 202 respondents living in all regions of Ukraine (except Crimea) were surveyed. 874 interviews were conducted up to February 8 inclusive, that is, before Zaluzhny’s resignation.
The remaining 328 interviews were conducted after the resignation on February 9 and 10. The survey was conducted with adult (aged 18 years and older) citizens of Ukraine who, at the time of the survey, were living on the territory of Ukraine (within the limits controlled by the Ukrainian authorities until February 24, 2022). The sample did not include residents of territories that were temporarily not controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, and the survey was not conducted with citizens abroad.
