The attacker corrected Russian missile and artillery strikes on the military and critical infrastructure of the city. The SBU press center reported this today, October 15.
It is noted that Russian military intelligence remotely recruited the assistant professor after the start of a full-scale invasion.
Among the enemy agent’s tasks were:
- recording the consequences of missile and artillery strikes on one of the defense enterprises of the Kharkov region, which was repeatedly shelled by the Russian occupation forces;
- tracking routes of movement of Ukrainian Armed Forces units and locations of logistics warehouses, including ammunition and ammunition of Ukrainian soldiers;
- monitoring the activities of foreign volunteer organizations in Kharkov
He transmitted the data to the Russians through a messenger in the form of text messages and marks on electronic maps.
The attacker was detained in his own home in the regional center. During the search, a mobile phone and computer equipment were found confirming cooperation with the aggressor.
The Russian agent was informed of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code (high treason committed under martial law).
He is currently in custody. The investigation is ongoing. The attacker faces life imprisonment, the SBU notes.
