Medvedev bought a yacht for $5 million – media

Deputy Chairman of the Security Council, former President and Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev bought a new 29-meter GV yacht. This was said by the Russian publication Layoutpositioning oneself as independent.

The MCY 96 model vessel was built in 2017 at the Italian shipyard Monte Carlo Yachts. It is designed for long sea voyages and flies the flag of the island nation of Palau.

In June, the yacht was first spotted in Russian waters. GV’s value is $5 million.

The ship is registered to the offshore company Unicorn Holdings Group Inc. from Seychelles.

After passing through Russian customs, the GV yacht left the Black Sea and headed inside the Russian Federation, passing through the Sea of ​​Azov, Don, Rostov, Volga and reaching the final destination of the route – the village of Ekaterinovka near city. of Konakovo, Tver Region. After a short stay in the local port, the yacht began sailing along the Volga. The captain of the GV is 39-year-old resident of Konakovo Anatoly Naumov.

The media reports that even after the start of the Russian Federation’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, wealthy Russians are still registering yachts in foreign jurisdictions.

The formal owner of the yacht is the company Investment community, which belongs to the Cypriot offshore company Ilya Eliseev, a classmate of Medvedev. Journalists called Naumov, posing as a customs inspector. During the conversation, it was confirmed that Naumov was associated with the design of the yacht, and a special regime was established on the vessel for Dmitry Medvedev.
