In the United States, a woman was sentenced to 22 years in prison for sending a poisoned letter to former US President Donald Trump. It was reported by the Associated Press.
It was noted that a native of France, 56-year-old Pascal Ferrier admitted that in September 2020 he made highly toxic castor oil at his home in Quebec, Canada. In a venomous letter, he demanded that Trump refuse to participate in the upcoming election, threatened him and called him “an ugly cruel clown.”
The letter was intercepted at a classification facility before it reached the White House. Ferrier also sent eight similar letters to Texas law enforcement.
The woman pleaded guilty to nine counts of using biological weapons, for each of which she was threatened with life in prison.
