The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the GDR has mentioned that about 30 states have confirmed their preparedness to support Kyiv.
German Minister of German Johann Vadiful said security that Ukraine should receive should be as close as possible to NATO membership standards. It became known from his speech on the German government’s open day – on Sunday, August 24, Deutsche Welle reported.
According to Vadiful, it is impossible to request from Ukraine to consider the issue of territorial concessions without giving it real security guarantees, and from the side of as many countries as possible. He believes that these actions may affect the position of Vladimir Putin. This, according to him, will help Europe return to peaceful association. At the same time, the German Minister emphasized that the violation of the guarantees provided would be translated as a direct attack on Ukraine.
The minister called for the expansion of the circle of guarantees, which must have the United States of America. He noted that about 30 states, including Japan, have confirmed their willingness to support Ukraine. However, Vadiful emphasized that a possible peace agreement with Russia does not threaten the interests of Ukraine or its independence. He called the President of Russia to stop the attack and sit at the negotiation table. In the case of the continuation of the conflict, the West will continue to certainly support Ukraine.
Remember, recently in NATO they talked about two levels of security for Ukraine. The first degree, according to NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, aims at the maximum strengthening of Ukraine’s armed forces. The second level of security guarantee is what the United States and Europe will provide. The work is being carried out today.
