Tremors with a magnitude of 2.4 were recorded 10 km from Uzhgorod. The epicenter of the earthquake lay at a depth of 5 km. Tremors were recorded at 10:36. Scientists have classified the earthquake as imperceptible. This was reported by the Main Center for Special Control.
The ministry recalled that during 2020-2023, seven earthquakes were recorded in the Uzhgorod region, the most powerful of which occurred on April 19 and 27, 2020 with magnitudes of 3.1 and 3.2, respectively.
The last time tremors in this region with a magnitude of 1.5 were recorded on January 14, 2022.
Recall that on April 14, tremors with a magnitude of 3.4 were felt in the Transcarpathian region. The epicenter of the earthquake was located 6 km east of the city of Irshava, at a depth of 7 km.
