The Russian invaders blew up a dam on the Wet Yaly River, causing flooding on both banks of the river.
The Russian invaders, in order to prevent the successful advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, blew up a dam on the Wet Yaly River on the border of the Zaporozhye and Donetsk regions. This was said on the air of the telethon by the spokesman of the Joint Coordination Center of the Defense Forces of the Tauride direction, Valery Shershen.
“The enemy is disgusting, the enemy is nervous and uses any means … to prevent a breakthrough of its defense, the advance of the defense forces in the direction of Taurida, respectively, right here, in direction of Novopavlovsk, and after the explosion. of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station and the man-made disaster – we all know this very well, we see and fight against it, there is further weakening of smaller reservoirs and dams,” he said.
As an example, Shershen mentioned the Russians weakening a dam near the village of Karlovka a few days ago.
“Today we have information that the enemy blew up a dam near the settlement of Novodarovka and this led to the flooding of both banks of the Wet Yaly River. However, this situation does not affect the conduct of our counteroffensive operations,” said the spokesperson. .
It should be noted that the Mokryye Yaly River flows through the recently occupied settlements of Blagodatnoye and Neskuchnoye.
