Driver’s weakness gives the attacks to get full control over the user’s computer.

Cybersecurity experts have recorded a new technique that allows hackers to miss Microsoft Defender and install the Akira-Military Military Military District. According to PCWORLD, the scheme uses weakness in the legal driver RWDRV.SYS – the ThrottleTop tool component, which is designed to configure Intel processors.

Interpreting this weakness, the attacks get access to the core of the operating system, allowing them to load their own malicious HLPDRV.SYS driver. This driver changed the Windows registry and disables Microsoft Defender’s protective operations, opening the attack path. According to experts, this is how the Akira virus spread, a wave of infection that began in July.

Experts warn that even legal programs can contain potentially dangerous drivers that can be a tool for attacks.

Remember that it was previously reported that AI-Wredosonos learned to bypass Windows antivirus.
