The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 has ended in Liverpool, England.

There were 26 participants in the final. Among them are 20 winners of two semi-finals and musicians from the founding countries of the competition – Great Britain, France, Italy, Spain, Germany. The show began with an explosive performance by the Kalush Orchestra with the hit “Stefania”. The highlight of this video was the appearance of Princess of Wales Kate Middleton.
The results of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 show that the representative of Sweden, the singer of Moroccan-Berber origin Loreen, won with the song Tattoo, very similar to the song of the Ukrainian singer Mika Newton “In Captivity”.
Loreen has won this song contest for the second time, the first time she won in 2012 with the song Euphoria. It was the participants from Sweden that Ukraine gave the maximum votes – 12 points. The singer in total scored 583 votes.
The Eurovision winner subsequently spoke about her feelings after the victory and about what connects her with Ukraine.
I have been to Ukraine a lot, I had a lot of shows, I love its people. And it hurts me to look at what is happening, I’m very sorry, she said.
Second place went to Käärijä from Finland and third place to Noa Kirel from Israel.
Ukraine took sixth place in this song contest. At the same time, TVORCHI performed the song Heart of Steel, which tells about the fortitude and invincibility of Ukrainians. This performance won the hearts of the audience, who call it one of the most emotional at Eurovision.

Recall that Let 3 from Croatia reached the Eurovision final with the song “Mama ŠČ!”. Others thought it was a parody of Vladimir Putin, as one of the participants in Let 3 brought fake nuclear warheads onto the stage.
