Among the citizens of the Russian Federation who lost property in Ukraine were two oligarchs, three rectors, three deputies of the State Duma and a former region.
Since the start of the massive Russian invasion, Ukraine has confiscated the assets of nine Russians and former President Viktor Yanukovych through decisions of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court. Among the citizens of the Russian Federation who lost their property in Ukraine are oligarchs Vladimir Yevtushenkov and Mikhail Shelkov, rectors of Russian universities Andrey Falafaev, Oleg Polukhin and Anatoly Torkunov, deputies of the State Duma namely Konstantin Bakharev, Roman Lyabikhov and Boris Paykin, as well as Olga Kovitidi, member of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation from Crimea.
The court considers at least two more cases against Russians, in particular, businessman Oleg Deripaska, continues.
It was noted that Yevtushenkov, near the Kremlin, was the first to lose his properties in Ukraine. The court proved that he supported an armed attack on Ukraine – the oligarch’s company produces drones and special communication equipment for the Russian army.
Confiscated premises and corporate rights in five Ukrainian companies have already been transferred to the State Property Fund for rent and privatization.
Yanukovych confiscated a recreation center and a residential building with an area of more than 800 square meters in Novi Petrivtsi, an apartment in Obolon, more than 31 million hryvnias and almost 85 thousand dollars, 537 values of culture and works of art worth more than 18.7 million euros, parking lots and LLC tantalite.
The claim was partially satisfied – a house with an area of more than 300 square meters. m, the apartment and the Toyota Land Cruiser 100 cannot be collected.
In December, three Russian rectors lost their properties in the temporarily occupied Crimea: apartments and part of the business were confiscated from Falaleev, Polukhin and Torkunov for supporting the war against Ukraine.
In January, according to the VAKS decision, representatives of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Lyabikhov, Paykin and Bakharev lost their property in Yalta, Sevastopol and Evpatoria.
On January 23, VAKS partially satisfied the claim of the Ministry of Justice for the confiscation of the Ukrainian assets of the billionaire Shelkov. Apartments in Odessa and Nikopol, Lexus, four Mitsubishi Pajeros, funds in accounts and 100% in LLC VSMPO TITAN Ukraine.
At the same time, the court refused to charge the Demurinsky Mining and Processing Plant. An appeal was filed.
The former regional Kovitidi, now a member of the Federation Council from the temporarily occupied Crimea, lost two houses in Alushta, an apartment and non-residential premises in Simferopol, as well as two apartments in Sevastopol.
Trap Aggressor analysts emphasize that the properties of other Russian oligarchs, such as Mikhail Fridman, Alexander Babakov and Mikhail Gutseriev, have not yet been filed for confiscation.
It was previously reported that the Deposit Guarantee Fund transferred shares to the state Prominvestbank and MR Bank – “daughters” of Russian state-owned banks operating in Ukraine.
