Apart from the “usual suspects”, there are huge stakes in the smartwatch market that for the sake of a good buy, we have to show. We had a less than positive experience. outside of Huawei, Samsung, Xiaomi and Fitbit, but I think this version of Amazfit has raised the bar for good and these GTR 3 Pros are a team you should keep an eye on. This is a NIUSGEEK review.

Amazfit GTR 3 Pro: this is what you need to know
healthy evolution. The GTR 2 left us wanting more, but this model meant a huge upgrade in the Amazfit ecosystem. Compared to the other molding in question, this version is improved in almost every way.

For starters, the edge of the sphere doesn’t include any indicators and gives us a cleaner design, and we keep the classic interaction buttons on the sides of the microphone on the right side. On the left, a lone speaker appears slightly.

This model with a 46mm dial leaves us with a 22mm wide synthetic strap compatible with standard systems. Unfortunately my skin still doesn’t react well to this material, so I would recommend changing to a metal or hypoallergenic strap if you plan on wearing it longer.

On the back cover, we keep the pin loading system and measurement sensors. This is where the most interesting changes take place.

The screen is everything in this GTR 3 Pro. We went from 1.39″ space to 1.45″ and with an obvious reduction in the edges, taking advantage of the space even though we stayed at 70% of the front panel. In addition, the pixel density is quite high, so the graphics that the panel emits are highly detailed.

However, even Amazfit should manage us better to keep the glass clean, as too many fingerprints accumulate on it. Thankfully, this doesn’t take away the brightness or radiation from this AMOLED screen, which, compared to others, is smooth and respectful of touch.

Now, in terms of customization, Amazfit is not far behind Huawei. The offer is wide and, as such, varied. Special mention to the sync speed, which is an improvement over previous versions.

The app is finally maturing. The last time I tried Zepp, I found it intimidating due to the sheer amount of tweaks you could make that honestly didn’t feel conveniently grouped together. Not now, and I was comfortable using Zepp’s interface to find what I needed.

My metric cards are in perfect order and simplified in presentation. The Health tab suggests activities I should be doing or charts my daily itinerary, while Profile is purely for managing the watch in every way, including the App Store.

This is where we see a more robust offering with the presence of a GoPro to trigger shots from the watch or notifications for water or brushing teeth. It’s not big, but it’s growing, and that allows you to have a little more confidence in your investment when you get this watch.

In particular, everything seems more at hand. And it helps us to have a little more confidence in brand improvements when implementing changes and updates. Speaking of which, in all this time, the watch has received several updates focused on stability and battery life.

New version of sensors. To measure our activity, Amazfit adds its BioTracker 3.0 model with six LEDs and two LEDs to record heart rate and other metrics. Names and elements aside, results are the rule, and Amazfit has achieved incredible consistency in data collection.

To start with, the measurement of our activity can be set up in intervals or collected in real time, and it does a good job of measuring the steps and calories burned during the day. Sleep is recorded down to the millimeter in terms of depth and drowsiness, in addition to a very accurate determination of the periods during which we are awake.

The GPS is pretty accurate, although I have to admit that I didn’t demand it to the maximum in sports matters. However, he was able to connect in the open sky without any problems and act accurately, calculating my position in real time.

If we focus on stress and blood oxygen percentage, the Amazfit GTR 3 Pro will once again be one of the most accurate in its class and allows monitoring to be activated all the time. This clearly reduces battery life.

Less debt in Smart. We can control Spotify music or any source from the watch as long as we are connected via Bluetooth to our phone. Of course, in order to download music to the watch and use the storage – more or less around 2.5GB if you uninstall apps – you have to connect the charger to your PC so that your computer’s OS recognizes the GTR 3 as an extra box. Pro. Unfortunately, we cannot fully respond to messages or check email.

Another added highlight is the ability to answer calls from the watch, a quality that frees us from having to take our phone out of our pocket and answer without any problems using the built-in speaker and microphone on the side. Keep in mind that the equipment does not have a sonic water ejection system, so keep that in mind if you need one.

Very good autonomy. A lot here depends on your habits and configurations, since requesting information from sensors increases the power consumption of those 450 mAh.

In my case, I was able to use up to 10 days without problems, but this dropped to just under 6 when I enabled all real-time measurements, and dropped to just over 4 when using GPS. Even in this last run he excels fitbit meaning which I use as my main watch.

To recharge this wrist titan with energy, we can do it in about 75 minutes with the included charger. In our charging time, we managed to get 55% power in half an hour, which equates to about 4 days of use.
Is Amazfit GTR 3 Pro worth it?

Yes, and it may happen that we have a watch in front of us, which is in the center of the offer. We don’t have Huawei’s best titanium hardware, but I also don’t need to install AppGallery or HMS to make it compatible with my phone. I don’t have the intelligence of a Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, but this watch has a lifespan of 15% of Amazfit’s power consumption.

Amazfit was able to offer a model that could be improved, but it already works fine. Solid, customizable to the millimeter, compatible with everything, software that allows you to export data and other advantages that others do not have. I would follow him.
