On Thursday, June 22, the United States launched a Delta IV Heavy launch vehicle into space with the American reconnaissance military satellite NROL68. About that reported American company United Launch Alliance.
The original launch date for NROL-68 was Wednesday, June 21, but a ground system valve problem resulted in a one-day delay.
“One minute after NROL68’s launch, the Delta IV Heavy was traveling at over 1,600 kilometers per hour,” the report said.
According to the portal Space.com, the launch of the 71.6-meter launch vehicle was made from a spaceport in the US state of Florida.
The NROL68 satellite is owned by the US National Space Intelligence Agency.
NROL-68 is ULA’s first mission in 2023 and Delta IV Heavy’s 15th.
