Four vehicles will join the Tianmu-1 orbital constellation, collecting data on the atmosphere and ionosphere.

Chinese booster Kuaizhou-1A four meteorological satellites were successfully launched into orbit to replenish the orbital constellation Tianmu-1. This was reported on March 22 by Xinhua News Agency.

It was noted that the rocket was launched from the Jiuquan Cosmodrome on Wednesday at 17.09 Beijing time (at 11.09 Kyiv time).

The satellites will collect data on various atmospheric particles and monitor changes in the world’s oceans, atmosphere and ionosphere.

The withdrawn devices were created by a subsidiary of the China Aerospace Scientific and Industrial Corporation (CASIC) – Xiyong Microelectronics Park.

The Kuaizhou-1A four-stage rocket was developed by ExPace. It is capable of launching a payload weighing around 300 kg into low Earth orbit.

Recall that the first two satellites of the constellation Tianmu-1 was launched into orbit in January.

It was previously reported that the American Electron rocket successfully launched two commercial satellites Capella-9 and Capella-10 into orbit, designed for radar imaging of the Earth day and night in any weather.
