The President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, promulgated this Friday the Law regulating the exploitation Internet games and sports betting. This is done so that the state collects taxes through these activities.
“The executive branch and Congress have established a regulatory framework so that these transactions are controlled in an integrated, tax-paying manner, as in countries such as Colombia, Mexico, Argentina and much of the United States and Europe,” the president said after the promulgation of the regulation at the Government Palace.

Approves the rule governing the operation of games
The plenary session of Congress approved a bill that proposes to regulate the operation of remote games and remote sports betting.
