The head of the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC), Luis Barranzuela, confirmed on Monday that three urban transport unions in Lima and Callao had signed a memorandum of agreements aimed at ending the strike.
In an interview program Things as they are from PTR, Luis Barranzuela He clarified that this was achieved after continuing today the dialogue with the trade unions of transport workers, who on Sunday did not sign the protocols of agreements with the Government.
“And I can announce with full satisfaction to the country that the carriers today have given a civil identification mark with the country and have already signed the corresponding act, by which we restore peace to the population and demonstrate progress that shows that we can still believe and that we can achieve important consensus to address the issues that concern us most,” he said.
Technical and technological proposals
Luis Barranzuela stated that in the dialogue TCM with transport unions “trust is built together”.
“Carriers came today not only to deal with those issues that were unresolved or in line with the specifications that started this dialogue, but also went much further. They brought technical and technological proposals that will start to be addressed from the sector from tomorrow when these carriers join the technical table that is set to work together on new approaches that allow the modernization of systems that are handled by the three modes of transport,” – he said.
owner TCM He expressed confidence that all trade unions of urban transport in Lima and Callao, as well as cities in the regions of the country, will accept the signed agreement and stop the strike.
“It also happens that within the unions themselves sometimes there are some misunderstandings with some of their areas that are part of the union. We hope, we hope that everyone as a whole, in view of the agreement reached, will be able to calm down and that from tomorrow or in the coming hours we will have calm weather,” he said.

“Espacio Vital”: Dr. Ernesto Gozzer, epidemiologist and public health specialist, explained that an outbreak is an unusual number of cases of a disease that occur in a certain area and at a certain time, and that an investigation is carried out first (case detection, confirmatory diagnosis) and then control of contacts (they may be asked, but not forced to disclose contacts). He also pointed out that in the case of momo smallpox in Peru, three cases have already been identified, there is no need to worry, but it is more important to know what the Ministry of Health should do. The doctor said that people should know that there will be cases.
