She admitted that she tries to take negative comments about her husband in stride.
Ukraine’s First Lady Elena Zelenskaya tells how she responded to criticism of her husband, President Vladimir Zelensky. He answered this question in an interview with British journalist Piers Morgan.
“I really want the person responsible for everything not to be my husband, but someone else. But he is responsible for everything. And he carries this responsibility. This is his job. The political struggle does not stop, even during the war. I’m okay with criticism. Everyone can’t be happy with everyone, especially in difficult times like today. Sometimes there are people who see bad things happening and look for blame. I think the easiest thing is to blame one who is responsible for everything. I calmly accept criticism, but I do not accept international hatred that is not based on facts. I also understand that the aggressor country does not stop stirring up feelings that deprive us of unity. And they use many resources for this, any opportunity, any message in Ukrainian society to push negative things,” said the first lady.
He also added how the president responded to criticism:
“He can withstand any criticism. For me it is more difficult emotionally, because sometimes I am worried. He, I think, treats it very professionally,” said Zelenskaya.
In addition, he said what was the most unpleasant criticism he had ever heard about his wife.
“I did not make such ratings. All these things are offensive. When they say this about someone you love and respect, it is always unpleasant. But nothing surprises me. Perhaps the worst way is seen something like the truth,” added Zelenskaya.
Let’s remember that Zelenskaya has previously told how the war affected her family.
