Norway allocates $ 700 million to Patriot for Ukraine

Norway has allocated about 7 billion Norwegian crowns ($ 696 million) for the supply of Patriot System and Radars for Ukraine. This was announced by the Norwegian government on Sunday, August 24th.

“Along with Germany, we are now ensuring Ukraine to receive strong wind defense systems. Germany and Norway are closely working together to support Ukraine in the fight for country protection and protect the civilian population from Russian wind attacks,” said prime minister Jonas Garde Stree.

It is indicated that Norway and Germany pay for two Patriot systems, including rockets. In addition, Norway will contribute to the acquisition of air defense radars from the German Hensoldt manufacturer and air defense systems from Kongsberg (we are talking about complex mashed -ed.).

Earlier it was learned that Norway, Sweden and Denmark together allocated nearly 5 billion Norwegian crowns ($ 486 million) for NATO’s new initiative for the supply of American weapons in Ukraine.
