The nephew of the former official Gann Korshun-Samchuk confirmed the information. The release took place on August 24th.

“This is just a very short message that everything was released in Ukraine. My wife and my sister Vladimir Vasilyevich called me, they told everyone the relatives,” Samchuk said.

The Russian military seized Nikolayenko on April 18, 2022. The day before, the former mayor of Kherson received threats from locals cooperating.
