Find out what the real end of the world of Narnia was that didn’t appear in the “Chronicles of Narnia” films adapted by Disney
In the mid-2000s, the “Chronicles of Narnia” franchise, created by Irish author CS Lewis in 1950, it received three major film adaptations by Disney: “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” (2005), “Prince Caspian” (2008) and “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” (2010).
Due to the low box office of the last two films, the studio ended up deciding that it would not be viable to adapt the four other books in the film franchise to cinemas. Lewis“The Silver Chair” (1953), “The Horse and His Boy” (1954), “The Magician’s Nephew” (1955) and “The Last Battle” (1956). For this reason, many fans who did not have the opportunity to read the works were unable to discover what happened to Narnia after the events of the last feature.
What is the fate of Narnia in the books?
At the end of the film “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader”, Lúcia and Edmundo Pevensie follow the fate of their brothers, and receive news from Aslan that they will no longer have to return to Narnia, as they have already learned everything they needed in that world. His cousin, Eustáquio, who accompanied them on the adventure, would be the only one who could return.
After the trio return to England, Caspian, who was still the king, ends up marrying Liliandill, a girl with star blood who he met during the mission on the Dawn Treader ship. As a result of their relationship, the couple has Rilian, their only heir, who disappears after his mother’s death.
For years, the monarch believed he had lost the two great loves of his life. When he sets out on a journey to the seven islands to seek advice from the mighty Aslan on who should be the next king, as the crown prince has disappeared and there are no signs of returning, he receives a vision of the lion telling him that the young man would be with him. waiting at home safe and sound.
Upon returning to the castle, the king meets his son again and manages to give him one last hug before passing away at the age of 66 due to his health. With Rilian assuming the throne, the seventh and final era of Narnia begins, where all the rulers are direct descendants of Caspian, going through eight generations until Tirian, the last king presented in the book “The Last Battle”.
In the year 2555, the sad destruction of the Narnian world takes place, initiated after chaos caused by two talking animals, the monkey Manhoso and the donkey Confuso, who deceived the inhabitants with the idea of a false Aslan.
The chronicle says that, one day, after finding a lion skin in the river, Manhoso wears the item in Confuso and spreads the rumor that Aslan has returned, starting a great party in Narnia. While all the residents wanted to see the powerful lion, the monkey said that contact could only be made through him, who would be his “official spokesperson”.
Taking advantage of the situation, Manhoso begins to make exaggerated requests to the Narnians, in addition to closing an agreement with the people of Calormânia to facilitate the invasion and conquest of the country in Narnia and influence the people to believe that Aslan and Tash, a dark god Calormene, would be the same entity.
Unfortunately, the rumors spread by the monkey spread easily and, before long, the cult of the dark god grows surprisingly, resulting in the appearance of Tash, causing misfortune and destruction.
With chaos in the country of Narnia, Tirian calls for help from Aslan and the former kings, Pedro, Susana, Edmundo and Lúcia. The request ends up reaching all the humans who have ever visited the magical world, including three of the Pevensie brothers, their cousin Eustáquio, as well as Jill, Polli and Professor Digory, who begin their journey to return to the place.

On the way, the seven suffer a train accident and die, being magically transported to the world of Narnia. Arriving there, Aslan allows Jill and Eustáquio to join Tirian to face the battle started by the chaos of Manhoso and Confuso, while Pedro, Edmundo, Lúcia, Polli and Digory wait in a stable, which they would later discover to be the access door to the “True Narnia”, also known as the “Country of Aslan”, an allusion to Paradise.
When everyone gathered, Aslan announces the end of that country after seeing all the destruction that the inhabitants caused, resulting in the falling of stars, the extermination of vegetation and, consequently, the freezing of the world, leaving only the fair and good-hearted, who had the opportunity to pass through the stable door on their way to the Real Narnia.
In this new location, they have the opportunity to meet people who had already died both in ancient Narnia and in the human world. When everyone made the crossing, Pedro becomes responsible for permanently closing the portal between Narnia and the human world, leaving Susana, who was the only one not to return, alone in our universe.
