The production of the Inside Out universe premieres on December 11th on Disney+ and will show how Riley’s dream building works
On December 11th, the full four episodes of Produção de Sonhos, the first series from Pixar Animation Studios, will premiere on Disney+. from the Inside Out universe! With a story full of magic and creativity, the series takes the audience back into the mind of little Riley, protagonist of Inside Out (2015) and Inside Out 2 (2024).
From this new production, it is possible to delve behind the scenes of the dream production of the character who has just entered adolescence. To this end, Pixar promises to delight both fans of the franchise and new viewers, who will be able to explore a new angle into Riley’s mind and unravel the mysteries behind their nocturnal adventures.
1. The story
The main highlight of this series is how the story of the dream production is told to the public. The script proposal revolves around characters who are part of a film production team and throughout the four episodes face various obstacles on the way, such as creative dilemmas, tight budgets, ego conflicts, the dynamics between the different roles involved in creating a film (in this case the dream) and, of course, the short time frame to make all this happen while Riley is sleeping!
2. Humorous look
The Pixar Animation Studios series for Disney+ arrives with the aim of attracting both fans of the Inside Out universe and those who are interested behind the scenes of cinema cameras, offering a more intimate and humorous look at what happens when art meets the challenges of the real world of production – even if it happens inside the head of protagonist Riley.
3. Comedy and emotion
To put together these dreams and make them as real and tangible as possible, the characters use a light and captivating tone, often with a dose of comedy and unusual situations, but also with exciting moments, exploring the value of dreams and creativity. All of this happens in front of testimonials from them speaking directly to the camera, presenting to the public their perceptions about each part of the process of building their dreams.
4. The characters
The focus of the production is precisely on showing the journey of characters dealing with their own ambitions and dreams, while facing pressure from the industry and the public, which in this case is represented exactly by the control center in Riley’s head.
5. Voice actors
With the English voices of Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Ally Maki, Kensington Tallman, Liza Lapira, Tony Hale, Lewis Black and Phyllis Smith, the fun mockumentary-style series is written and directed by Mike Jones and produced by Jaclyn Simon. In Brazil, Miá Mello (Alegria), Otaviano Costa (Fear), Katiuscia Canoro (Sadness), Dani Calabresa (Nojinho) and Léo Jaime (Anger) return to life the classic characters that we love so much, with the reinforcement of names like Cecília Lemes (Paula Persimmon) and Marcio Marconato (Xeni) to help tell this new unmissable story on Disney+. With compositions by Nami Melumad, the public will also be able to have even more fun with the soundtrack for Produção de Sonhos, which will be available on all digital platforms from December 20th.
