While attending the Trooping the Color parade on June 17, the two children accidentally bumped their heads. Clearly shocked, the young princess nevertheless responded gracefully.
Incident on the balcony of the Buckingham Palace. Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, accidentally bumped heads during the Trooping the Color event at a Royal Air Force fly-by on Saturday (June 17). Kate and William’s children were standing on the balcony with their parents and older brother Prince George, 9, when Charlotte leaned into Louis while he turned his head the other way, prompting a collision, as seen in an Instagram video @royal.story .
The phlegmatic young Charlotte gently touched his temple after the blow, with great maturity and calming this slightly awkward moment. He then looked at his younger brother for a second before looking eagerly and smiling at the crowd. Prince George did not react to the incident.
Child stars
George, Charlotte and Louis stole the show from the rest of the family at the event, which marks the British sovereign’s “official” birthday. All eyes were on them. The two boys wore black suits with red ties, their hair was neatly combed, and the princess wore a white and red dress with her hair braided. Despite this minor accident, the family seems to have had a good time. Ever so expressive, Prince Louis resumed his usual antics on the balcony, notably extending his arms as if he were piloting an aeroplane. The young prince had already won the love of the British nation with his many grimaces on the balcony of Buckingham Palace during Elizabeth II’s platinum jubilee in June 2022.
