Opening on December 15th, “Avatar: The Road to Water”, the sequel to the most lucrative franchise in cinema history produced by 20th Century Studios, tells the story of the Sully family more than a decade after the events of the first feature.

The plot, which presents new threats and a new tribe called the Metkayna clan, has already accumulated 2.05 billion dollars in tickets sold.

Considered at the time as one of the most intense MCU films thanks to its impeccable visual effects, “Infinity War” was the sixth Marvel feature to surpass a billion at the box office, in addition to being the highest grossing of the year 2018.
7th place: Spider-Man: Never Go Home (2021), with 1.832 billion dollars

10th place: The Avengers (2012), with 1.518 billion
The 2012 film was responsible for introducing the “Avengers” franchise to world cinema, opening in more than 4,349 movie theaters around the world, according to Forbes. Only in Brazil, the film accumulated approximately 64 million dollars.
