Next year, authorities expect the economy to grow by less than 5%, subject to the continuation of hostilities in the first half of the year.
Ukrainian authorities have developed a budget for 2023 according to a scenario that provides for six months of active hostilities. Yulia Sviridenko, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, spoke about this, Interfax-Ukraine wrote on Friday, October 21.

“The scenario (growth of 4.6%) is mainly based on the military scenario, which provides an active base of combat operations for six months,” he said.
The minister recalled the forecast for the collapse of the Ukrainian economy this year.
“I think we will still reach better indicators for the year – at the level of 30%,” said Sviridenko.
By the end of the year, inflation is also expected to be around 30%.
It will be remembered that the first reading of the 2023 budget was adopted on October 7. In the second reading, it will be approved no earlier than November.
