The National Bank of Ukraine strengthened the hryvnia exchange rate against the dollar for the second day in a row. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Friday, December 13.
So, the official exchange rate for Monday is set at 41.6070 UAH per dollar (-0.0518 UAH). In turn, the euro rose slightly in price and cost 43.7373 UAH (+0.0331 UAH).
In the interbank market, the American currency rose in price by 7 kopecks – at 41.69-41.72 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
In the cash market, the dollar exchange lost 10 kopecks – 41.80 UAH.
We remind you that on December 12, the National Bank unexpectedly increased the discount rate. The regulator made this decision in response to inflation rising to 11.2% in November.
Earlier it became known that Ukrainian banks have agreed to limits on transfers to cards. These will be reduced and will depend on the risk level of the client and if he has a proven source of income.
