The Lithuanian prosecutor’s office has launched more than 50 investigations on suspicion of violation of international sanctions against Russia and Belarus. The Prosecutor General of Lithuania, Nida Grunskienė, spoke about it in the parliament, Lithuanian media LRT reports.

“If I’m not mistaken, more than 50 pre-trial investigations are currently underway, I know that in some cases there are problems with making decisions, we have enough pre-trial investigations,” said Grunskienė.
“There is one case of weapons smuggling, if I’m not mistaken, that has been brought to court,” the official noted.
We remind you that the Financial Crimes Investigation Service (FNTT) reported that seven people and four companies are suspected of violating existing international sanctions and smuggling goods to Russia worth about two million euros.
