An organized group that owns the funds of Ukrzaliznytsia was exposed. This includes company officials and businessmen.
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office reported the suspicion of the former head of Ukrzaliznytsia Evgeniy Kravtsov in the case of illegal misuse of more than 11 million hryvnias of company funds. This is reported by Economic Truth with reference to sources.
Earlier, NABU and SAPO exposed an organized group of individuals for stealing 11.4 million hryvnias from Ukrzaliznytsia.
According to the investigation, in 2018 the head of the group, a businessman, decided to establish control over the goods and cash flows of UZ. To do this, he turned to long-time acquaintances of government representatives and, with their help, achieved the appointment of group members to leadership positions in Ukrzaliznytsia.
In 2018-2021, the officials of the state company, following the instructions of the head of the group, ensured the success of the company he controlled in the tender for the purchase of pneumatic tools.
The products were delivered to the branches of Ukrzaliznytsia at an inflated price, and the amount of the overpayment reached 11.4 million Hryvnia.
In total, suspicion was declared against nine people in the case: two leaders of the organized group, six officials of Ukrzaliznytsia and the beneficiary of the LLC.
Let’s recall that in December 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers commissioned an audit of the efficiency of Ukrzaliznytsia due to the identified violations. In January, the SBU detained an officer of Ukrzaliznytsia in the Dnieper, who turned out to be an FSB agent spying on the military echelons of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
