Virginie Efira caused a sensation in a thigh-high black dress at the Saint Laurent show

It’s a signature look. On Tuesday evening, not far from the Eiffel Tower, Anthony Vaccarello presented his fall-winter 2024 collection for Saint Laurent. On the catwalk, the contours were at the peak of femininity. Dresses revealed as much as they covered, and in this game of transparency, breasts became armor. As a statement of fashion and his own heritage, Saint Laurent distilled the apparent separation of clothing and body, all veiling and sensuality. The guests, hand-picked, were seated in a boudoir lounge consisting of two circular rooms, whose velvet curtains recalled the salons on Avenue Marceau, where the couturier had his workshops.

Among them, in the front row, Virginie Efira sat next to Catherine Deneuve and Charlotte Gainsbourg, also friends of the brand. For the occasion, the 46-year-old actress wore a shiny leather coat over a tulle dress, the cut of which went up to the top of the thigh. Ultra-long coat – it goes down to the ground, as much as a tulle dress, like many of the iconic silhouettes of Saint Laurent and Virginie Ephyra.

Last year for the Saint Laurent menswear fall-winter 2023 show, the actress opted for a look that couldn’t be more similar, except the coat was wool and the dress was unslit. At the spring-summer 2024 show last September, she ditched the jacket and kept only the pleated dress. Virginia Efira swears by Saint Laurent on parade days and pitch black like a Parisian night.
