To date, 445 heat supply facilities have been restored in Ukraine. These are boiler houses, central heating points, and thermal power plants.
Based on the results of the first month of the heating season, the energy situation is stable. Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal announced this at a government meeting on Friday, November 17.
“We have passed the first month of the heating season. We have passed it successfully. The situation in the energy sector is stable. There is no electricity shortage today. The heating season has started in all regions,” said Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to Shmygal, Ukraine has fully provided itself with the necessary amount of energy resources, including almost 16 billion cubic meters of gas in storage, and coal reserves in warehouses – 1.1 million tons.
“We continue to repair and protect the main parts of the energy system. We have already managed to restore almost 1.9 GW of generating capacity. By the end of the year, it is planned to restore another 1.3 GW of additional capacity. The nuclear generation is working. . Thermal generation is working, hydropower is working,” said the Prime Minister. minister
Shmygal noted that a large amount of work has been done to restore networks, protect substations and other critical equipment. To date, 445 heat supply facilities have been restored.
Let’s remember that earlier the DTEK company contracted 70 thousand tons of thermal coal in Poland, so the total volume of coal imports increased to 280 thousand tons.
The Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine Ruslan Strilets reported that there is a sufficient amount of prepared firewood and assured that the price for it will not increase this heating season.
