The Ministry of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine on Monday, November 13, will hold a border meeting with representatives of Polish authorities and carriers to unblock checkpoints. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Reconstruction.
The Ministry of Infrastructure of Poland, representatives of voivodeships, the European Commission Directorate for Mobility, the Ukrainian Embassy in Poland and carriers were invited to the meeting. The Ministry of Reconstruction will be represented by Deputy Minister Sergei Derkach.
The department noted that after Derkach’s negotiations with Rafal Weber, State Secretary of the Polish Ministry of Infrastructure, the Ukrainian side resolved two issues raised by their Polish colleagues.
We are talking about the operation of lanes for empty vehicles directly at the Yagodin-Dorogusk checkpoint and updating the functionality of the єCherga system – the ability to replace the driver for empty trucks.
In addition, Polish colleagues again offered to run empty transport through the Ugrinov-Dolgobychow checkpoint, where there is a corresponding lane. This option will allow empty trucks to reduce the waiting time to cross the border.
We remind you that on November 6, the strike of Polish carriers began on the Polish-Ukrainian border, demanding the abolition of visa-free transportation for Ukraine.
Polish carriers block the movement of trucks at checkpoints Korchova – Krakovets, Grebennoye – Rava-Russkaya, Dorogusk – Yagodin. They demand the return of permits for commercial transport for Ukraine.
According to the State Tax Service, on November 11, blocking the traffic of carriers at the Polish-Ukrainian border continues, as a result of which the queues began to increase. Specifically, on the morning of November 11, approximately 2,500 vehicles were waiting to cross the border.
