The mayor of Cherkassy, Anatoly Bondarenko, was angered by activists demanding an increase in spending on the Armed Forces of Ukraine by reducing losses for the improvement of the city.

The mayor, at a meeting with community representatives who were asking for increased funding for the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the city budget, told people: “You are not a community, a community is a deputy corps.”
But the mayor of Dnepr, Boris Filatov, called the people who came to the “Money for the Armed Forces” rally “youyo*s.”
Recently, peaceful protests have been taking place in many cities of Ukraine. People are demanding that local authorities during the budget process pay more attention to procurement for the army, rather than funding priority expenses.
For example, they protested in Lviv:
Meanwhile, two pensioners purchased two kamikaze drones for the 10th separate Edelweiss mountain assault brigade. A resident of Rozhnyatova from the Ivano-Frankivsk region, Lyudmila Vladimirovna, and her relative from Kyiv, Galina Markovna, saved money for drones from their pension – the two women managed to collect almost 40 thousand UAH.
