The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine exchanged assessments of the strategic situation with the Commander of the US Armed Forces in Europe and discussed Ukraine’s needs for weapons.
The Ukrainian military is preparing for various scenarios in the coming months. This was announced on Wednesday, December 14, by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny in a conversation with the Supreme Commander of the NATO Joint Armed Forces in Europe and Commander of the US Armed Forces in Europe, General Christopher Cavoli.
On his Facebook page, Zaluzhny said that, among other things, they discussed weapons and equipment that Ukraine needs.
“Making every effort to stabilize the situation in the east, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are preparing for various scenarios for the development of events in the coming months,” said the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He noted that he exchanged assessments of the strategic situation with Cavoli.
Recall that in early December, Zaluzhny spoke of US requests for weapons and discussed the security risks posed by Russia’s massive missile strikes.
The media previously reported that the Pentagon intended to send Patriot missile defense systems to Ukraine, but the White House later said they could not confirm this.
