A batch of five mobile shelters were sent to the soldiers on the front line. This time – in the direction of Donetsk.

The Metinvest group of companies sent five mobile shelters to the front line, bringing the total number to 51, the press service of the group reports.

The mobile shelter is made of corrugated steel and, when properly installed, can withstand the impact of a 152 mm artillery shell. Today, they are made according to an improved project, taking into account all the needs of the military. Inside each shelter were beds, compartments for storing ammunition, ovens with clothes dryers. There is also a raised floor that can be used as storage and emergency exit. The design is easy to disassemble for transportation and transfer to other positions.

“It will take about 400 hours for teams of locksmiths and electric and gas welders to make a shelter. The cost of one design is about UAH 200,000, that is, more than UAH 10 million has already been sent to the front, ” the press service said in a statement.

Metinvest added that they are making and shipping these shelters free of charge, and they intend to do so until the end of the war.

Recall that Metinvest previously announced a new method for producing steel for bulletproof vests. So far, the group of companies has sent 150,000 body armor to the front as part of Rinat Akhmetov’s military initiative Steel Front.
