Due to the critically high demand of the population for permanent power sources, DroneUA has accelerated the formation of an energy independence ecosystem and the EcoFlow partner network. The level of provision with portable stations has been increased by 5 times.
Thanks to this, in October-November, more than 19 thousand families have already received their stations, and even more families are waiting for deliveries during December and January. However, according to the office of DroneUA, the exclusive distributor of EcoFlow in Ukraine, this amount is not enough to meet the needs of Ukrainians.
“The energy security of every family is our only goal, and we are doing our best to increase the number of stations for Ukraine. Since October, the demand for EcoFlow energy independence products has grown tenfold and continues to grow. However, it will not be possible to satisfy all the requests of Ukrainians for charging stations in the near future. The production capacities of factories and their suppliers are at their peak,” comments Valeriy Yakovenko, co-founder of DroneUA. “No one was ready for such rapid takeoffs. The number of contracted equipment in Ukraine by the end of the year was several times less. Therefore, we have practically “swept out” the entire available European stock.
It will be possible to equalize the situation with the number of deliveries of equipment for household needs already from the new year. However, experts are of the opinion that the market will continue to grow, and the dynamics will increase in the business sector. Entrepreneurs are already suffering losses due to long downtime in the absence of electricity throughout the country. The next step will be the mass installation of autonomous power supply systems, consisting of generating plants (solar panels) and powerful energy storage devices.
We, as a business, also experienced difficulties in working with the power outage. The operation of warehouses is almost impossible without electricity. The solution was found by installing an autonomous power supply system EcoFlow Power Kit, which we, as a distributor, supply to the Ukrainian market. The manufacturer introduced the Power Kit system to the global market only at the end of August. The first two sets arrived in Ukraine almost at the end of October. And as of the beginning of November, the first 20 units were sold,” comments Valeriy Yakovenko, co-founder of DroneUA.
Today’s energy crisis can give impetus to the trend of energy independence not only in Ukraine, but also in foreign markets, Yakovenko believes. More and more households and businesses will become energy independent. Therefore, it is now essential that the government support the initiative and ensure the functioning of monetary instruments that will simplify access to energy solutions for various categories of consumers. The first common step for business and the banking sector was the signing of the EcoFlow product lending partnership program between Sberbank and DroneUA. The company lays in such cooperation a huge potential, which will allow even more families to gain energy independence.
To date, the total dispersed capacity of portable charging stations is 25 MWh, which is more than 5 times more than the target at the end of the year.
