Ukraine stopped exporting electricity to other states on October 11th.
In neighboring Moldova, electricity was lost due to a frequency jump in the technically joint power grid in our state. This was announced on Wednesday, November 23, by the press service of NPC Ukrenergo on Facebook.
They noted that the incident occurred due to a massive missile attack by the Russian Federation on Ukrainian energy facilities.
“As a result of another massive shelling by Russian troops of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure on Wednesday, November 23, large blackouts also occurred on the territory of neighboring Moldova,” the report said.
They noted that the missile attack on Ukraine resulted in the loss of Moldova’s connection to the European electrical network, from which the country receives part of its electrical energy.
