As a result of today’s attack on Zaporozhye, unexploded cluster shells fell in one of the residential areas of the city.
On the night of Saturday, November 12, the enemy hit Zaporozhye with an Iskander-K missile, which fell without exploding. This was announced by the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko on Telegram.
The rocket is loaded with 54 cluster rounds. They did not explode and fell in the Shevchenko district of the city near six high-rise buildings.
Tymoshenko said that cluster shells can explode at any moment and are capable of “piercing” even concrete structures.
“We have started evacuating people from there. Some residents left on their own, others we are taking by municipal transport to temporary centers. People are being fed there and, if necessary, they receiving medical assistance. Now it is planned that the temporary evacuation will last until tomorrow,” said the secretary of the Zaporozhye City Council. Anatoly Kurtev on Telegram.
It should be remembered that the area freed from the Russian invaders in the south of Ukraine has reached more than three thousand square kilometers. Yesterday, the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was talking about 260 square kilometers liberated.
