Ukraine produces more food than it eats, therefore it is self -sufficient in food.
Food shortages even in conditions of war do not threaten Ukraine. This was announced on Friday, April 22, in the press service of the Ministry of Agropolitics and Food of Ukraine.
“We are fully supplied for our domestic needs with milk and dairy products, cereals, legumes and vegetables, eggs, meat and meat products,” said Taras Vysotsky, First Deputy Minister of Agropolitics and Food of Ukraine
According to him, on average in 2021, due to its own production, Ukraine met the needs of the domestic market:
-
Milk and dairy products – 99.1%;
-
Meat and meat products – 110.1%;
-
Butil – 323.3%;
-
Eggs – 125%;
-
Fruits, berries and grapes – 75.9%;
-
