Scholz emphasized that Germany will continue to support Ukraine for humanitarian and military purposes.
By attacking Ukraine, Russia launched a “crusade” against the collective West. This was said by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, CNN wrote.
“All this time, Vladimir Putin and his supporters have made one thing clear: this war is not only for Ukraine, they see the war against Ukraine as part of a larger crusade,” he says.
According to the German chancellor, he means “a crusade against liberal democracy, rules based on the liberal order, and against freedom and development.”
Scholz also added that Germany will continue to support Ukraine.
“Including heavy weapons, modern air defense systems and tanks, we will continue to provide support as long as necessary,” he stressed.
Scholz expressed confidence that Putin’s attempt to destabilize the basic economic order will fail just as he failed on the battlefield.
Earlier, Scholz called the move in the Russian Federation “Putin’s act of desperation.” He also mentioned that no one will know if the President of Russia will go for the use of nuclear weapons.
