Jewelry prices range from a few thousand to $60,000. The collection is planned to expand.
Fashion house Prada has unveiled the first line of jewelry made from 100% certified recycled gold. WWD wrote this in relation to the head of the CSR group’s corporate social responsibility department, Lorenzo Bertelli.
The collection now includes 48 items.
The line is called Eternal Gold. This is the first collection for a global luxury brand made from such raw materials.
“It was not an easy task and we are very happy that we succeeded because it allowed us to set a new standard in the industry. From the very beginning, we wanted to create jewelry in a different and more radical way with strong message and offers full recognition by changing outdated norms in accordance with social changes,” said Bertelli.
It is noted that the basis of the collection is Prada’s signature triangular motif, reminiscent of the brand’s founder, Mario Prada. It appears as a clasp on earrings and pendants, or on ribbon chokers, and its corners form the chain links, hearts, or heads of a serpentine bracelet.
