The money for Ukraine will be directed to military equipment, intelligence gathering and economic aid.

US President Joe Biden will apply to Congress for $11.7 billion in emergency funding for lethal aid and budget support for Ukraine, Reuters reported on September 2, citing the White House.

According to the publication, the money for Ukraine will go to military equipment, intelligence gathering and economic aid.

Bloomberg clarified that $11.7 billion is needed to help Ukraine in the security and economic sectors in the first quarter of fiscal year 2023. They want to spend another $2 billion on preventing the rise of energy prices in the United States, while the aggressor country Russia cuts supplies.

On August 31, White House spokesman John Kirby said that President Joe Biden’s administration would announce additional aid to Ukraine in the coming days.

Recall that on Ukraine’s Independence Day on August 24, US President Joe Biden approved the largest military aid package for Ukraine in the amount of $2.98 billion.
