A man pointed a gun at Christina Kirchner’s face as she greeted supporters outside her home.
In Buenos Aires, an assassination attempt was made on Argentine Vice President Cristina Kirchner. The Guardian reported this on September 2.
It was learned that the incident took place on Thursday evening near the politician’s house, when he was greeting his supporters.
The video recording of the moment of assassination shows that the man pointed a gun at the Vice President’s face, but did not fire. According to local media reports, the weapon may have been misfired.
A 35-year-old Brazilian man was taken into custody at the scene.
“The man, who was recognized by those nearby, and who had a weapon, was detained by security officers. They took him aside, found the weapon, and now it must be investigated,” said Security Minister Anibal Fernandez.
He noted that the gun was loaded with five bullets, but “did not fire, even when the trigger was pulled.”
It will be remembered that on July 8, former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was shot at a rally in Japan.
