The conflict between the Russian military and FSB officers at a cafe in occupied Kherson ended in a deadly shootout. This was reported by Yahoo News in connection with a report prepared by the Military Investigation Department of the RF Sledkom for the Black Sea Fleet.
The shootout took place on June 19, but documents about it only surfaced in August. Due to the incident, three people died and two others were injured.
The report said four FSB officers entered the cafe and found two contractors there “idling around drinking alcoholic beverages.”
They were reprimanded by FSB officers. In response, one of the contractors pulled out a pistol and fired at the floor. A gunfight broke out between them, another contractor fired an AK-74 at the security forces, who fired back.
Two FSB officers and a contractor died on the spot. Two others were hospitalized with “wounds of varying severity” in Sevastopol.
