The person who sold the apartment and summer cottage said that his pension was enough for him, and he gave the entire proceeds from the sale to the needs of the defenders of Ukraine.
A pensioner from Sumy, 85-year-old Nikolai Ivanovich, sold an apartment and a summer cottage, and donated the proceeds of 35 thousand dollars to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to Sumy Public Fund, where the man transferred the money.
It is mentioned that Nikolai Ivanovich lived all his life in Sumy. This summer he lost his wife, and before that, his own son. The man decided to sell his apartment and summer cottage to help Ukrainian defenders during the war with the Russian Federation and to contribute to the victory of Ukraine.
Receiving funds from the sale of real estate, he asked his nephew to found a voluntary fund that raises funds for the needs of the Armed Forces.
“For the second day, our team is trying to accept this fact. Perhaps such things do not require further comments,” they stressed to the fund, to which the man donated.
The charity structure says that these funds will be spent on a separate targeted purchase for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Currently, the fund is consulting with the military to determine their current needs.
“Together with the Sumy Public Fund team, we have started consultations with the military on current needs and we will talk about purchases on our pages,” the organization said.
Nikolai Ivanovich assures that he does not need these funds. He worked for 46 years at the Frunze plant. His pension is said to be enough to live on.
Earlier it was reported that in the United States, an unknown person transferred $ 1 million for the needs of the Ukrainian army.
