September-October will be the warmest weather ahead. However, in winter the battle will also continue.
This autumn will be a decisive period in the war, according to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Defense Ministry. The winter season will be difficult, but the measures planned by Ukraine should be successful. This was stated by the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Vadym Skibitsky in an interview with RBC-Ukraine, published on Saturday, August 26.
“The decisive period will be only autumn. If we talk about natural and climatic conditions, it will be September-October. Then there will be bad weather, November, winter, but the battles will continue,” said Skibitsky .
He stressed that in any case, the winter season will also be difficult, because there will be fighting.

“The second is the factor of energy resources, which Russia will undoubtedly use to destabilize our internal situation. Against this background, they will prepare for the spring, for the continuation of the strong fight,” the GUR believes.
At the same time, intelligence predicts that winter battles may be less active. At the same time, the invaders will continue to maintain their battalion tactical groups also near the borders of Sumy and Chernihiv regions to destroy Ukrainian territories, keep the population in tension and divert forces and means of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Skibitsky also expressed hope that the measures planned by Ukraine will be successful, and that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will thwart Russia’s plans for both further occupation and the Donetsk region.
“Despite the fact that we don’t have enough resources that we have, we get help, we plan military operations. We hit their command posts, ammunition depots, manpower. And the very morale of Russian troops is changing – it is completely different than what happened in early March, when they marched into our territory,” added Skibitsky.
He noted that according to intelligence data, the staffing of some units of the Russian Federation that have participated in the hostilities since February is 30%. This figure is below any necessary indicator.
At the same time, Moscow failed to implement plans for recruitment for contract service and for voluntary recruitment – they were not fulfilled by more than 50%.
Skibitsky noted that a moment may come when Russia will be forced to declare full mobilization to achieve its planned war goals.
Earlier, the Office of the President said that as a result of the war, the Armed Forces of Ukraine should reach the borders of Ukraine in 1991.
