The border guards of Belarus noticed a significant increase in the number of cars entering EU countries from Belarus. According to the country’s State Border Committee, on Friday, August 19, their number increased fivefold in the past week alone.
“Since the beginning of the week, the number of passenger cars entering the EU has increased by almost five times, and trucks – by 1.5 times,” said the CPC.
The accumulation of passenger cars in the past day, according to the agency, was recorded in the Polish and Lithuanian directions.
Nearby control services at checkpoints Terespol in Brest and Bobrovniki in Berestovitsa recorded 36% and 67% of cars from the established standard, respectively. In Lithuanian Medininkai in Kamenny Log, this figure is 48%.
It will be remembered that the formal leader of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, said that he will not fight in Ukraine and called on everyone to “calm down.”
