The heads of the ruling regimes of the two countries exchanged written appeals, in which they began to talk about cooperation.

Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin wrote to the head of North Korea’s ruling regime, Kim Jong-un, with a proposal that the two countries “jointly expand comprehensive and constructive bilateral relations.” This was reported by the Reuters news agency in connection with the state media of the DPRK on Monday, August 15.

In a letter on the occasion of the liberation of the DPRK (surrender of Japan during the Second World War – ed.) to the leader of North Korea, Putin said that “closer ties will be in the interests of both countries and help strengthen security . and stability of the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia region.”

Kim Jong-un sent a letter to Putin. In it, he noted that Russian-North Korean friendship was established during World War II with the victory over Japan, which occupied the Korean Peninsula.

“Strategic and tactical cooperation, support and unity between the two countries has reached a new level and a common effort to neutralize threats and provocations from enemy military forces,” the DPRK leader said. .

The news agency noted that North Korean media “did not identify hostile forces, but generally used the term to refer to the United States and its allies.”

Recall that the leader of the DPRK, Kim Jong-un, congratulated the Russian leader Vladimir Putin on Russia Day and expressed full support for his actions.

In addition, after Russia’s attack on Ukraine, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un became more aggressive in his actions and statements, repeating the “scenario” of Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
