The eastern country’s defense ministry wants to continue to support Ukraine, which is resisting Russian aggression.

Tokyo, at the request of the Ukrainian authorities, will transfer vans and drones to Kyiv. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Japan on Thursday, August 4.

“At this time, taking into account the needs of the Ukrainian side, we will transfer consumer vehicles (vans). In addition, we will also transfer small drones,” the statement said.

The department recalled that they previously provided Kyiv with body armor, helmets, protective masks, chemical protection suits and small drones.

“The Ministry of Defense and the Self-Defense Forces will continue to provide assistance to Ukraine within their capabilities,” Tokyo said.

Earlier, Japan imposed a ban on gold imports from Russia. Before this, the country’s Ministry of Defense warned of a military threat from the Russian Federation and China.
